The ScoreChase live workshop on Number theory (Part II) has been
announced. The workshop will take place on Saturday, May 24th at
10:00am EST (7:30pm IST) and is expected to go on for 2-3 hours. The time is subject
to change. Remember as the last time the number of seats is limited to
allow for personal attention and Question and Answer session. You can order the workshop from here (you must be logged in to ScoreChase to be able to order, registration is free).

Something a lot of people have asked me and a lot of them get wrong the first time, so I thought this deserves a thread of its own
A) Is there a difference between 4^(1/2) and rt(4), if yes what?, if no why not?
The other questions on similar lines
B) What are the possible values of :
1] rt(4)
2] rt([-2]^2]
3] 4^1/2
4] [(-2)^2]^1/2
