Dear friends,
i retook my GMAT on 8th sept2008 and could not brake my 1st time score target.
1st GMAT score- 620(Q48,V27) in May2007
latest one- 570( Q50,V18) on 8th sept 2008
I am surprised to see my 2nd score. I am in great dillema about my verbal score. I studied for last 2 months and never scored less than 29 in any test out of 6 full length tests. Even i practiced SC,RC & CR from OG-11 & OG-10 in time controlled manner and never scored less than 60% accuracy in any test ( a set of 25 questions). Even this time, i read Quats only for last 3 days. I found easy RC & CR this time,
My GMAT prep test scores-
1st - 660
2nd- 690

Hi,
I have created a club to practice GMAT reading comprehension. Biggest challenge for RC is three fold:
- Reading from the computer screen
- Making meaningful note swithin time
- Solve reading comprehension questions
The purpose of the group is to solve the first 2 problems - reading different topics and making notes and comparing. See what we miss and what we keep. Sometimes I go overboard in making notes and jot down stupid details that i really didnt need to. While doing this wealso keep track of the time.
Join in if you think it will help you.

Verbal is a sore spot for most of us. Although we are good at English as such, GMAT Verbal tends to kill us with the kinds of questions it asks. I have create a group for improving GMAT Verbal to 700 level. The group is created to discuss about ways to tackle GMAT Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning and Sentence correction. trying to come up with a collective strategy (or fomula) to score better in verbal section.
join in if you think your verbal needs improvement.

As the famous song sings....How many miles a man walk down befor you call him a man....I feel the same, having 5 years in core indusrty with a great job profile, good wife, I feel like I have to walk some more to become a man. I gave GMAT once and burnt the fingers, no excuses and winners do not give execuses. I am here to prepare again and have 3 months for that. Just making the roadmap how to move about. Targeting 700+ this time with admission in a agood school. I amin hyd and if someone wants to study together or something, I am ready.
