Value of Equation!!!

What is the value of x^4 + 9x^2 +26 ?
1. x =7 or x = -7
2. x^4 + 9x^2 -13 = 12

a) since x^2 is being used, whether x=-7 or +7 .. the expression will have same value
b) x^4 + 9x^2 -13 = 12
subtract 12 on both sides
x^4 + 9x^2 -25 = 0
x^4 + 9x^2 -25 + 51 = 0+51
x^4 + 9x^2 +26 = 51
Answer.
