16 Oct 07 MBA - The Hottest Degree Worldwide !
Have you ever wondered - Is MBA worth it? For people who want to pursue from a university in USA, or from a top university such as INSEAD, LBS, this becomes a critical question. Pursuing MBA from these universities means high tuition fees and 2 years out of professional life. Following are the top amongst the questions which plague most MBA Aspirants:
- Is MBA worth it (Return on Interest (ROI) wise)?
- Can I achieve more than what I would normally achieve in the next 2 years of my professional life?
- Should I go for a 2-year MBA or a 1-year MBA or just a correspondence MBA may be?
- Should I even go for an MBA since I dont want a career change (I can just climb the corporate ladder with experience)?
Well here is a positive note for all those who are having second thoughts about MBA. We recently came across this article in Times of India which indicates that as per an extensive survey, MBA is the hottest degree - not just in a particular demographic, but around the world. Here is a link to the article for you to read thoroughly and rejoice on your decision to go for an MBA:

Of corse consulting and financial services come on the top of the list of the MBA hiring chart, but other disciplines apparently are not far behind. Job Scenario is really looking up with almost every student in in London Business School (LBS)'s class of 2007 bagging summer internships .
However, on a cautionary note, with Credit Crisis (Credit Crunch) on the hands, we still need to see how that affects everything including the career prospects of MBA Students. So keep your fingers crossed and sensors on…..
