MIT Sloan MBA deadlines for Fall 2010 admissions (class of 2012) have been announced. It seems there are just two rounds this time:

MIT MBA Program requires you to submit a <500 word Cover Letter along with the application essays.
Cover Letter:
Prepare a cover letter (up to 500 words) seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA Program. Describe your accomplishments and include an example of how you had an impact on a group or organization. Your letter should conform to standard business correspondence and be addressed to Mr. Rod Garcia, Director of MBA Admissions.
Essays:
Essay 1: Please describe a time when you went beyond what was defined, expected, established, or popular. (500 words or less, limited to one page)
Essay 2: Please describe a time when you coached, trained, or mentored a person or group. (500 words or less, limited to one page)
Essay 3: Please describe a time when you took responsibility for achieving an objective. (500 words or less, limited to one page)

WhartonMBA Application deadlines for the fall 2010 admissions (class of 2012) are announced. The deadlines are:

Last week Standford GSB announced the deadlines for MBA Admissions for the class of 2012 (admissions in 2010). The deadline for first round of application is Oct 7, 2009.

Harvard Business School has released the MBA application deadlines for class of 2012 (starting fall 2010):

OK. You've written dynamite essays and filled out the applications. All of a sudden you get an unexpected curve ball. One of your recommenders says "I really want to help you get into an MBA program. Why don't you write the letter of rec, and I'll sign it. That way it will emphasize exactly what you think is most important."
You of course graciously acknowledge the recommender's good intentions and thank him or her for the outstanding idea. Inwardly you are less than thrilled with the idea of writing one more word about yourself.
Relax. We'll tell you what a recommender should say. In fact, you can pass these tips on to your recommenders, in case they don't know what to say and don't ask you to say it. (more…)
