Have you tried Word Smart, Word Smart II from princeton review?
These are vocabulary books that concisely summarize important words for tests including GMAT and other use of every day life.
Try it! It's very helpful because English is not my mother tongue and I was looking for a vocabulary book that covers important educated words... plus I see most of the words that you guys mentioned above are covered in the book.
