GMAT Prepration
Form: Ask a Question
Posted by: gmat2010
I am planning to take GMAT sometime this year. Please guide me how to prepare for it. I have around 12 years of experience in IT industry. My goal would be to go for one of the top 10 schools.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

hi gmat2010, sorry for the late response. The top 10 schools need on an average 700 GMAT score, so I suggest you start by taking a prep test and see where you stand currently.
Second question would be to consider which session are you applying for and how soon you want to take GMAT...
let meknow

Thanks for replying!
I am planning to apply this fall. Do you think 4-5 months is a good time to prepare for the exam. Which material I should buy and where can i get good practise tests from? I have to prepare while working and taking care of kids.
Thanks,

did u mean for fall 2010 session? because most top schools' already are past round 2 deadlines.
GMATPrep is the best indicator of your actual performance. So I would suggest that you take that. You can always take the same test repeatedly.
Manhattan GMAT has pretty good practice tests (which come with their guides), you can get them from our store
