GMAT quant level = CAT IIM ?

Just wanted to get an idea about the difficulty level of GMAT quant?
How would one compare it with CAT for IIM's? Do we need to prepare in that depth?

CAT and GMAT have different style of questions. While CAT questions can be more time consuming, GMAT focuses on tricks and problem solving approach.

In CAT (as per my understanding) you have choice of leaving a question and move on, in GMAT CAT , you have to attempt a question before you move on to the next.
