thanks everyone,, Sorry for the late reply.... My Experience with GMAT:
First one: Took the GMAT on Dec 2008. Did not prepare well, so landed up getting a sad 530 (Q-44, V-19). However, i was scoring like 620 in the Gmat prep so was quite shocked to see a 530.
Second one: After having a break for 2 months I Joined Jamboree(Coaching for GMAT) in feb. It helped me forming a base for Verbal especially in
SC's.
I didnt do much for Quant just followed the Jamboree material which had 650 questions.
For verbal :
SC- Manhattan
SC guide is a must, Sahil's notes. I would suggest to complete Manhattan atleast 3-4 times. Did OG-11 and focused more on the reasoning rather than getting the question right. 1000
SC's.
CR- Nothing can be better than Powerscore. The concepts given for different types of questions are brilliant. Did first 250 questions of 1000
CR's.
RC - just did some of the 1000
RC's
Gmat Prep. is the best tool that u can get for practive. Also it is the closest to the Real GMAT. Howere, quant in the real test is slightly tougher. My scores in the Mocks:
Power prep1 : 710 (Q-49,V-36)
Gmat Prep1 : 690 (Q-50,V-34)
Princeton1 : 670 (Q-42,V-41)
Power prep2 : 740 (Q-50,V-40)
Princeton2 : 670 (Q-51,V-31)
Kaplan1 : 580 (Q-50,V-27) [Useless]
Gmat Prep2 : 730 (Q-50,V-40)
Kaplan2 : 570 (Q-40,V-29)
Gmat Perp1a: 690 (Q-51,V-31)
Gmat prep2a: 710 (Q-51,V-33)
MGMAT free : 730 (Q-49,V-39)
G-day: Quant was same as in GMAT prep just a lil tougher. I spent more time on the first 15 question so was not left with enough time in the last 4 questios. I guess thats y i missed a 51.
Verbal was easier than i thought more like the GMAT perp level.
All the best to every one preparing for the GMAT, just focus on the basics and anyone can cross 700.
