In the xy-plane, does line L intersect with circle R?
    (1) Circle R intersects with axis-x at point (-5,0) and (5,0).
    (2) Line L passes through point (0,-1) and intersects with axis-x.

    E.

From A...cant say anything about the Line
From B...Line can be inside the circle, outside the circle, or can intersects the circle.
    No conclusion can be drawn..

in the GMAT for this question would the answer be C for this. I say that because it say line L not line segment L, wouldnt that mean that L would go on forever in a direction, so because it intersects with x and goes through (0.-1) wouldnt those combined say that yes L does in fact intersect with circle.....'

please let me know if i am interpreting this incorrectly
    thanks

yeahh..even i think the awnser should be C.
either the line will intersect or it wont..
so we be getting one specific awnser..
since pt 0 -1..lies inside the circle premises.so it should cut the circle..
    hence C
