I would think that you would have an edge over Indian MBAs. Indian IT sector is booming because of Outsourcing from countries like US/UK etc.
If you have an international perspective you can bring more to the organization than an Indian MBA.
Consider the situation.....I am taking a US MBA(for that matter, any good International MBA) and am staying there for 4-5 years...and then deciding to come back to India to work here and to have my base here.....
So in that case, will I(with a US MBA + US work ex) have any preference over Desi MBA, by the co's/market here....?
Or Will i be considered just like that of an Indian MBA?
Or will i face any indifference by the market/co's here?
I am not worried about the money factor here...I know definetely i will get paid less after coming back to India.....

I agree with Hagrid with a small Caveat,
Things could be better or worse depending on the industry you work in...................
IT and consulting will be rewarding if you move bcak to India.
But certain industries may not consider it too big a deal.
Also, it depends on which Indian MBA's you are competing against...........................
Moving back to India after spending a few years abroad has its own complexities......................
Especially if you have kids and stuff...............................
hi I have the same issue here. I am currently in Australia and about to finish bachelors. However before starting my graduation I did work as a team leader for 3 years giving me management experience. I would like to return to india. But going now after bachelors will not give me anything. So I thought i would take MBA in finance from USA from top 100 colleges.
Would that help me in going back to india and settle easily. My bachelors is in finance.
The problem in australia is their universities dont seem to have much importance in india.
Again I am not worried about money side if I can get a good paying job in india afterwards.
If you can help me with this regard , it will be really helpful
MBA from US universities is highly credited in India. Especially your domain (Finance) is doing great in Indian economy.
I would suggest, completing your MBA in US and then getting 1-2 years of good experience, that will really help getting a very good job back in india.
